When it first appeared at the 1956 Paris Motor Show, it threw competitors' models back into the Prehistoric Age!
With its futuristic design never seen before, this "unidentified driving object" paraded its slick receding forms right up to the boot. It was without a radiator grill, had a streamlined nose, high mounted indicators and single spoke steering wheel. This beauty evolved without ever disappointing its public until it was replaced in the late 60s by ... a new DS with slanted directional headlamps.
This Citroën which met with much enthusiasm on the part of Roland Barthes, will become the delight of Miniature model fans and also one of the joys of our "Minialuxe of the Past" collection.
Here it is in it's new zamac body shell.
